Chasing the Dragon is a Hong Kong crime film directed by Wong Jing and Jason Kwan, released in 2017. The film is based on the real-life story of Ng Sek-ho (a.k.a. Crippled Ho) and Lee Rock, two notorious figures in the Hong Kong drug trade scene in the 1960s.
The story begins with the arrival of Lee Rock (played by Andy Lau) in Hong Kong. He is a cop from the UK who joins the police force in Hong Kong. He quickly discovers that the police force is corrupt and has deep connections with the triads. Lee Rock decides to play both sides and rise to power in the crime world.
At the same time, Ng Sek-ho (played by Donnie Yen), an ambitious gangster, has his eyes set on the heroin trade. He teams up with Lee Rock to expand his empire, but their partnership takes a turn when jealousy and greed enter the picture.
