Anna Foster (played by Mandy Moore), the daughter of the President of the United States, is tired of her overbearing security detail and yearns for a normal life. While on a diplomatic trip to Prague, she escapes from her agents and meets a charming British man named Ben Calder (played by Matthew Goode) who is working undercover for her father.
Anna and Ben begin to explore the city together, experiencing freedom and excitement for the first time. However, as they grow closer, Ben struggles with his loyalty to Anna's father and his duty to protect her.
As they travel through Europe, Anna and Ben encounter a series of obstacles, including a boat ride down a rough river and a run-in with a group of spies. They develop a deep connection and fall in love, but their happiness is short-lived as they are eventually caught by the Secret Service and forced to return to the United States.
Back home, Anna discovers that her father has approved of a potential arranged marriage for her, causing Anna to reevaluate her priorities and decide if she is willing to give up her independence for her father's political ambitions.
In the end, Ben resigns from his position and returns to the United States to be with Anna, and the two are able to defy both her father's wishes and their own pasts to be together.
