Chaos Walking is a 2021 science fiction movie based on the novel The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. The story is set in a dystopian world called New World, where there are no women and all living creatures, including animals, can hear each others' thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds known as Noise.
The story follows the life of Todd Hewitt, who is the last boy in Prentisstown, a small town in New World. Todd has never seen a girl in his life, and he always believed that there were no women left in the world, until he meets Viola Eade, a girl who crash-lands on the planet. Viola's arrival triggers a chain of events that sets Todd on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth about his world and save Viola's life.
As Todd and Viola set out to discover the secrets of New World, they face many challenges and dangers along the way. They are pursued by Mayor Prentiss, the tyrant leader of Prentisstown, who will stop at nothing to capture Viola and gain control over Todd.
The movie is directed by Doug Liman and stars Tom Holland as Todd Hewitt, Daisy Ridley as Viola Eade, and Mads Mikkelsen as Mayor Prentiss. The film received mixed reviews but was praised for its unique concept and strong performances from its cast.
