Changeling is a 2008 American drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and based on the real-life story of Christine Collins. The film stars Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins, a single mother whose son, Walter, disappears in Los Angeles in 1928.
After several months of searching, the LAPD announces that Walter has been found and returned to his mother. But Christine becomes increasingly convinced that the boy they bring to her is not her son. Despite her protests, the police and city officials refuse to believe her and even have her committed to a psychiatric hospital.
As Christine fights to prove her sanity and find the truth about what happened to her son, she faces corruption and cover-ups within the LAPD, leading to a powerful climax in which multiple shocking revelations are made.
