Challenge to White Fang is a 1974 Italian-French adventure film directed by Lucio Fulci. The movie is a sequel to Fulci's 1973 film White Fang, based on the novel by Jack London. Franco Nero reprises his role as Jason Scott, a gold seeker who has befriended the wolf-dog White Fang.
The movie opens with Jason and White Fang trying to make a living in the gold fields of Canada. They are joined by a young woman named Felicity (Virna Lisi), who is looking for her missing father. The trio soon learns that Beauty Smith (Maurice Poli), the villain from the first film, has found a new gold mine and is trying to claim it.
Jason and White Fang decide to stop Beauty Smith before he can take over the mine. They are aided by Felicity and her father's partner, Peter (Guy Madison). Together, the group must brave the harsh wilderness and confront Beauty Smith and his henchmen.
Along the way, Jason and White Fang face various obstacles, including an attack by a pack of wolves and a dangerous river crossing. The movie also explores the relationship between Jason and White Fang, as the loyal wolf-dog must choose between his loyalty to his human friend and his wild instincts.
Challenge to White Fang features stunning photography of the Canadian wilderness and some thrilling action sequences. The movie is a worthy follow-up to the first film and a must-see for fans of adventure cinema.
