Celtic Pride is a 1996 sports comedy film directed by Tom DeCerchio and starring Dan Aykroyd, Daniel Stern, and Damon Wayans. The story follows the antics of Boston Celtics fans Mike (Aykroyd) and Jimmy (Stern) as they attempt to kidnap Utah Jazz star player Lewis Scott (Wayans) to ensure the Celtics' victory in the NBA playoffs.

Mike and Jimmy, both blue-collar workers and lifelong Celtics fans, are down-and-out after watching their beloved team lose game one of the series. Desperate to turn things around, they come up with a hare-brained scheme to kidnap Scott the night before Game 6 and lock him up in a hotel room, thereby guaranteeing a Celtics victory.

Despite their lack of planning and foresight, the two fans manage to abduct the unsuspecting Scott and hold him captive. However, as time passes, they begin to have second thoughts about their actions, especially after they investigate Scott's personal life and realize he's not the villain they thought he was.

As the night wears on, Mike and Jimmy begin to bond with Scott, and they eventually release him just in time for the game. In a thrilling and dramatic finale, the Celtics emerge victorious, and Mike and Jimmy are hailed as heroes by the Boston community.

Celtic Pride is a light-hearted and entertaining sports comedy that showcases the passion and devotion that fans have for their favorite teams. It's a fun and nostalgic tribute to basketball and the Boston Celtics, and it's sure to make audiences laugh and cheer along the way.
