Emily Lynessa is a young woman who has always been obsessed with a horror movie called CHAIN-FACE CLOWN, and its leading actor Jonathan Blaklee. She has watched the movie countless times and has collected every piece of memorabilia related to it. Emily is convinced that Jonathan is her soulmate, and she dreams of meeting him one day.
Emily's obsession reaches a new level when she attends a horror convention, where Jonathan is making an appearance. She spends all of her savings to attend the event and get in line to meet him. When she finally meets him, Emily is completely starstruck and can barely speak. Jonathan seems polite but distant, and Emily can't help but feel disappointed.
Despite this initial setback, Emily is determined to get closer to Jonathan. She begins stalking him, following him to his hotel and attending all of his public appearances. She even manages to sneak into his room and steal some of his personal belongings. However, her behavior becomes increasingly erratic and dangerous, and Jonathan begins to fear for his safety.
Meanwhile, Emily's best friend helps her set up a social media account, where she posts pictures of herself alongside Jonathan's pictures, claiming to be his girlfriend and using a fake name. She becomes an internet sensation, and soon, people start recognizing her in public.
Emily's behavior spirals out of control, and Jonathan is forced to take legal action against her. He files a restraining order, and Emily is devastated. She realizes that all of her dreams of being with Jonathan were just fantasies, and that her obsession has ruined any chance of having a real relationship.
The movie ends with Emily seeking help and trying to move on with her life, free from her celebrity crush.
