Catch That Kid is a 2004 American family action-comedy film directed by Bart Freundlich and starring Kristen Stewart, Corbin Bleu, Max Thieriot, and Sam Robards. It is a remake of the 2002 Danish film Klatretøsen.
The movie revolves around Maddy, a 12-year-old girl who loves to climb mountains and her father Tom, who shares the same passion. Tom gets injured while scaling Mount Everest, and the only way to save his life is through an expensive surgery. However, the family cannot afford it.
Maddy's mother, Molly, works as a security expert at a high-security bank owned by her ex-boyfriend, Stephen. Maddy hatches a plan to rob the bank with the help of her friends Gus and Austin. The trio practices for weeks and manages to get inside the bank on the day of the robbery.
With her climbing skills, Maddy manages to break into the vault and steal the money they need for Tom's surgery. However, things don't go as planned, and they have to face numerous challenges and obstacles to escape with the money unnoticed.
In the end, Maddy and her friends successfully complete their mission, and Tom gets the surgery he needs. The movie ends with Maddy receiving an invitation to join a climbing expedition with her hero, Alex Rover.
