Cat in the Wall is a 2019 British-Bulgarian drama film directed by Mina Mileva and Vesela Kazakova. The film follows a Bulgarian family living in a multiethnic neighborhood in London who live in a dilapidated flat with a hole in the wall where a neighbor's cat gets trapped.

When they try to release the cat, it becomes the subject of a cultural divide between the long-term settled immigrant residents (mainly Turks and Bulgarians) and the gentrifying newcomers – white, middle-class English. The situation escalates quickly, culminating in a full-blown political crisis which forces the family to confront their own prejudices and judgments.

The film presents a unique perspective on social and cultural issues prevalent in modern-day London, including gentrification, immigration, and the complexities of multiculturalism. It also highlights the different struggles that immigrants face, such as language barriers, economic hardships, and cultural differences.

Cat in the Wall is based on a true story that happened in the same neighborhood where the filmmakers lived. The film premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and received positive reviews from critics for its authentic portrayal of immigrant life in London and its power to spark dialogue about the difficult issues that come along with gentrification.
