In Cashback, Ben Willis (played by Sean Biggerstaff) is a young artist who is heartbroken after being dumped by his girlfriend, Suzy. Unable to sleep, he takes a job at a supermarket where he works the night shift. As he begins to observe the customers who come in at night, he realizes that he has the ability to freeze time and paint the scenes around him in exquisite detail.
As he explores his newfound power, Ben begins to encounter some eccentric characters, including a woman named Sharon who is obsessed with the idea of being a beauty queen. Despite his growing fascination with Sharon, Ben is still haunted by memories of Suzy and struggles to move on.
As the film progresses, Ben's art becomes more and more elaborate, culminating in a series of stunning paintings that capture the beauty and chaos of the world around him. But even as he gains a deeper understanding of his own creative impulses, Ben must confront his feelings for Suzy and decide whether to try and win her back or move on with his life. In the end, Cashback is a moving and visually stunning exploration of art, love, and the human condition.
