Carter & June is a 2018 crime-comedy film directed by Nicholas Kalikow. The film stars Michael Raymond-James as Carter, a grifter who owes a large debt to a dangerous New Orleans gangster, played by James Landry Hébert.
Carter decides to team up with his ex-girlfriend June, played by Samaire Armstrong, to rob a bank that is already scheduled to be robbed by a group of criminals. June is hesitant at first but agrees to help as she is also in debt and struggling financially.
Along the way, they enlist the help of a safecracker named Jasper, played by Timothy Omundson, and find themselves in a dangerous and unpredictable situation as the robbery takes an unexpected turn. They soon realize that they are in over their heads and must fight to survive.
As the gangsters and police close in on the group, secrets and betrayals are revealed, leading to a climactic finale. Carter & June is a thrilling and entertaining ride through the criminal underworld, with a mix of suspense, action, and humor.
