Carnifex follows a young, ambitious documentarian named Mia who is determined to make a difference in the world through her films. When bushfires ravage the Australian Outback, she sees an opportunity to document the animals that have been displaced by the flames and bring attention to their plight.
Mia teams up with two experienced conservationists, Claire and Jack, and together they set out on a mission to capture footage of the wildlife in the affected areas. However, their journey takes a terrifying turn when they stumble upon a creature unlike anything they've ever seen before.
The creature, which they soon discover is a deadly and highly adaptive predator, attacks their campsite and hunts them relentlessly as they try to escape.
