Carnal Innocence is a 2011 television movie based on the murder mystery novel of the same name by bestselling author Nora Roberts. It was directed by Peter Markle and stars Gabrielle Anwar, Colin Egglesfield, and Pancho Demmings.
Caroline Waverly is a world-famous violinist who returns to her hometown, Innocence, Mississippi, to rest and take some time off from her busy touring schedule. As soon as she arrives in Innocence, Caroline discovers that someone has been killing young women in the town. The police are investigating the murders, and Caroline becomes a suspect because she has a past connection to one of the victims, a girl named Remy.
Caroline befriends the police chief, Tucker Longstreet, who falls in love with her. Meanwhile, the killer continues to strike, and Caroline and Tucker find themselves in danger. Eventually, they discover who the killer is and why he is killing the women. It turns out that the killer is someone close to Caroline, and she narrowly escapes being his next victim.
