Carbon is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language adventure thriller film written and directed by Venu under the production banner of V Cinemas. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Mamta Mohandas, and Manikandan R. Achari.
The story revolves around Siby, a fraudster who is trying to make some easy money by conning people. He is in dire need of money to repay his debts and support his family. One day, he gets an assignment to smuggle some precious items from an old palace situated in Cheenkannippara, a forest-ridden region in Kerala. He reluctantly accepts the assignment and sets out on his journey.
Once he reaches the palace, he encounters a strange phenomenon that changes his life forever. He discovers the existence of a rare and magical mineral called Carbon, which emits a strange and inexplicable light. Siby becomes obsessed with the mineral and spends his days exploring the palace in search of more Carbon.
As he delves deeper into the palace's secrets, Siby uncovers some dark truths about the past inhabitants of the palace. He also learns about the dangers of obsessing over something that is out of his control.
