Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Danvers, is a former U.S. Air Force pilot who becomes a member of an elite alien military team called Starforce. She discovers that her own past is closely linked to the ongoing war between the Kree, a technologically-advanced alien race, and the shape-shifting Skrulls, who are seeking refuge on Earth.
As the conflict rages on, Carol must learn to harness her incredible powers, which include superhuman strength, energy projection, and flight. Along the way, she teams up with a young Nick Fury, who is still a low-level agent at S.H.I.E.L.D., and uncovers shocking secrets about her own identity and the true nature of the war.
The film also features familiar faces from the MCU, including Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer from Guardians of the Galaxy, and a younger version of Phil Coulson from the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Overall, Captain Marvel is an action-packed blockbuster that explores the origin story of one of Marvel's most powerful heroes, while also setting the stage for the future of the MCU.
