Cannonball Run II is a 1984 American comedy film directed by Hal Needham and starring Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, and an ensemble cast. It is the sequel to the 1981 film Cannonball Run and follows a similar plot of an illegal car race across the United States.

In this iteration, the cast of characters includes J.J. McClure (Reynolds) and Victor Prinzi (DeLuise), as well as new additions such as Sheik Abdul ben Falafel (Jamie Farr), Arthur Foyt (Telly Savalas), and Blake (Dean Martin). The race is sponsored by a sheik, who offers a million-dollar prize to the winner.

The contestants use a variety of cars and vehicles, including a Lamborghini Countach, a Mercedes-Benz 380 SL, a Ford Econoline van, and a tow truck. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including rival racers, accidents, and law enforcement.

The film features numerous comedic moments, such as Prinzi disguising himself as a Nazi officer to get through a checkpoint and a chimpanzee driving one of the cars. The cast also includes a number of cameo appearances, including Frank Sinatra, Shirley MacLaine, and Sammy Davis Jr.

Despite receiving negative reviews, Cannonball Run II was a box office success, grossing over $100 million worldwide. It has since gone on to become a cult classic among fans of the comedy and racing genres.
