Phoebe, a successful interior designer in a big city, returns to her hometown for Christmas. She is excited to reunite with her childhood best friend, Scott, who has recently moved back to their neighborhood. Phoebe is devastated to learn that Candy Cane Lane, a street in the neighborhood that has always been lit up with extravagant Christmas decorations, will not have any decorations this year. Phoebe has always felt that Candy Cane Lane was an integral part of her Christmas tradition and losing it feels like losing a part of herself.
Feeling lost and disheartened, Phoebe decides to start a new tradition. She decides to transform a local community center into a children's Christmas wonderland, complete with a Santa Claus and reindeer. As she works on the project, she finds herself reconnecting with her community. She also starts to develop feelings for Scott, who has always been her friend but could he potentially be more?
Phoebe is also dealing with a work crisis as one of her biggest clients, a restaurant, needs her to work on remodeling within a week which means she has to prioritize between her work and her new tradition.
