Cadillac Man is a 1990 comedy-drama film directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Robin Williams as Joe, an unscrupulous used-car salesman who finds himself in hot water when he's given an ultimatum by his boss to sell 12 cars in 48 hours or lose his job.
Along the way, Joe also has to deal with the fallout from his messy personal life, including his two-timing with two different girlfriends (played by Fran Drescher and Lori Petty), as well as the sudden disappearance of his rebellious teenage daughter (played by Jennifer Tilly), who has run away from home.
To add to his troubles, Joe's ex-wife (played by Pamela Reed) is also causing problems, demanding that he pay her back a large sum of money he owes her. With all of these distractions and obstacles, Joe struggles to stay focused on his goal of selling enough cars to save his job and his livelihood.
As the deadline approaches, Joe employs some creative sales tactics, including staging fake robberies and faking car accidents, in order to move his inventory off the lot and meet his quota. Along the way, he also begins to reevaluate his priorities and relationships, realizing that he needs to make some changes in his personal life if he wants to find true happiness and success.
