Caddyshack II is a 1988 comedy film directed by Allan Arkush and starring Jackie Mason, Dan Aykroyd, and Chevy Chase. It is a sequel to the 1980 film Caddyshack and revolves around a wealthy businessman named Jack Hartounian (Mason) who is denied membership at the exclusive Bushwood Country Club. In retaliation, he purchases the club and turns it into a gaudy amusement park called "Jack's Park".
Most of the original cast from the first film (including Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, and Michael O'Keefe) did not return for the sequel. Instead, the film features new characters such as Aykroyd's Captain Tom Everett, a cigar-chomping old-school golfer, and Chase's Ty Webb, who makes a brief cameo appearance.
The film received negative reviews from critics and was a box office disappointment, failing to capture the same success and cult following as the original Caddyshack. Despite its shortcomings, it remains a cult classic among fans of 80s comedy films.
