As the van-life influencer, Claire, settles into her new remote home, she begins to notice strange occurrences. Doors slam shut on their own, objects move inexplicably, and she hears unexplained footsteps in the night. Despite her initial disbelief in the supernatural, Claire realizes that there is something haunting her cabin.
As she investigates the history of the cabin, Claire discovers that it was once the site of a grisly murder-suicide. The previous owners, a family of three, were found dead in the cabin under mysterious circumstances. The father had seemingly gone mad and killed his wife and child before taking his own life.
The more Claire delves into the cabin's past, the more she becomes convinced that the spirit of the troubled father is still lingering there. As his malevolent presence intensifies, Claire's mental and emotional state starts to unravel.
Desperate to rid herself of the haunting spirit, Claire enlists the help of a local historian. Together, they discover that the father wasn't as innocent as he first appeared. In fact, he had a dark and twisted past that he was desperate to keep hidden. With this new knowledge, Claire must confront the vengeful spirit head-on, or risk becoming trapped in the cabin forever.
