Cabin Fever: Patient Zero is a horror film that was released in 2014. The movie begins with a group of friends traveling by boat to a deserted island in the Caribbean to throw a surprise bachelor party for their friend, Marcus. As they arrive and begin to party, they are unaware that the island is a secret medical facility for a deadly virus.
While exploring the island, they discover that the water surrounding the island is infected with a flesh-eating virus. As a result, they start to experience symptoms of the virus, including rashes, fever, and delirium. They soon realize that they are trapped on the island and must find a way off before it's too late.
The group comes across a research scientist who explains that the virus is a hybrid of several highly infectious diseases, which has been created as a biological weapon. However, the virus has mutated and is now out of control.
As the group tries to flee the island, they are chased by a group of infected individuals who are fast and relentless. The film ends with the group being rescued by a passing boat. However, as the boat departs, it is revealed that one of the group members is still infected with the virus, setting up for a potential sequel.
