The Fall of Sam Axe is a prequel to the hit television show Burn Notice, and tells the story of how Sam Axe became the man we see on the show. Bruce Campbell returns as Sam Axe, the charismatic former Navy SEAL who has become one of television's most beloved characters.
The movie opens in Bogota, Colombia in 2005, where Sam Axe is on a mission to investigate a terrorist organization called the "Espada Ardiente". He is accompanied by a group of US military advisors and a local military colonel, who is known for his brutality. After interviewing a captured member of the Espada Ardiente, Sam learns that the group is planning an attack on a medical clinic in a nearby village.
Sam is tasked with protecting the clinic and the civilians inside, but things quickly go awry when the local military colonel decides to take matters into his own hands. He sends his soldiers into the village with orders to kill anyone who looks suspicious, including the doctors and patients at the clinic.
Sam is forced to use all of his skills as a Navy SEAL to protect the civilians and take down the Espada Ardiente before it's too late. Along the way, he is aided by a local woman named Beatriz, who becomes his love interest.
