The film Bulletproof was released in 1996 and stars Damon Wayans as Archie Moses and Adam Sandler as Jack Carter/Rock Keats. The movie opens with a flashback to their childhood where they become lifelong friends after Moses saves Carter from a bulwark.
Fast forward to present day, Moses is a career criminal who steals cars and sells drugs while Carter is an undercover cop who is trying to take down the notorious drug lord Frank Colton (played by James Caan). In order to gain Moses’ trust, Carter poses as a seasoned criminal named Rock Keats.
Moses is impressed by Keats’ skill and takes him under his wing, teaching him the tricks of the trade. During their time together, Moses confides in Keats about his desire to leave the criminal world and start a new life.
When Moses and Colton plan a major drug deal, Keats is tasked with being the mediator between the two parties. However, things go wrong when Colton realizes that Keats is actually a cop and Moses feels betrayed by his friend.
The rest of the movie is a cat and mouse game as Moses and Keats try to avoid Colton’s wrath and stay alive. The film is action-packed with plenty of shootouts, car chases, and one-liners. In the end, Moses and Keats make amends and take down Colton together.
