Buffalo Boys is a 2018 action-western film directed by Mike Wiluan. The movie is set in the Dutch East Indies in 1860 where Jamar (Ario Bayu) and Suwo (Yoshi Sudarso) are sent to exile as children after witnessing their father's murder at the hands of the Dutch. Upon their arrival, the brothers discover that their village is being terrorized by the ruthless Dutch military captain, Van Trach (Reinout Bussemaker), who wants to take control of the land and its resources. Jamar and Suwo decide to take matters into their own hands and, with the help of their uncle and the village people, they plan to overthrow the Dutch and put an end to their reign of terror.

The movie features intense action sequences with traditional Indonesian martial arts and western gunfights. It also has a strong theme of brotherhood and the struggles of colonialism. Buffalo Boys was well received by audiences and critics alike, with praise for its unique blend of action and history.
