Danny Rose is a hard-working talent manager, but he struggles to find success with his clients due to their lack of talent. Despite this, Rose has a big heart and is always willing to go the extra mile to help his clients.
One of Rose's clients is Lou Canova, a formerly popular lounge singer whose career has hit a slump. Rose works tirelessly to book Canova gigs and get him back into the public eye. However, complications arise when Canova's mistress, Tina Vitale (Mia Farrow), becomes jealous of his wife and threatens to ruin his career.
