Brigadoon is a 1954 musical film directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Gene Kelly, Van Johnson, and Cyd Charisse. The story is based on the stage musical of the same name by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe.

Jeff and Tommy are on a hunting trip in the Scottish highlands when they come across a mysterious village called Brigadoon. The villagers welcome them warmly and invite them to join in their festivities. Jeff is skeptical, but Tommy is enchanted by the beauty of the town and the kindness of its people.

As the night wears on, Tommy falls in love with a beautiful young woman named Fiona. She is equally smitten with him, and they dance together under the stars. But when Tommy learns the truth about Brigadoon - that it appears only once every hundred years - he is torn between staying with Fiona and returning to his life in New York.

Meanwhile, Jeff has his own problems to deal with. He is pursued by a saucy local girl named Meg, but he is more interested in finding a way out of Brigadoon. He tries to convince Tommy to leave with him, but Tommy is reluctant to abandon his new love.

As the sun rises on the town, Jeff and Tommy must make a difficult decision. Will they stay in Brigadoon and risk losing touch with the modern world, or will they return to their own time and leave behind the memories of their brief, magical encounter with the village?
