Brewster's Millions is a 1985 comedy film directed by Walter Hill and starring Richard Pryor and John Candy. The plot revolves around Montgomery Brewster (Richard Pryor), an aging and unsuccessful baseball player who inherits $300 million from his rich and eccentric grandfather, Rupert Horn (Hume Cronyn).

However, there is a catch: in order to receive the $300 million inheritance, Brewster must spend $30 million in 30 days, without making any significant purchases or investments, and without having any assets or property to show for it. If he fails, he loses the entire inheritance and returns to a life of poverty.

Brewster takes on the challenge, hiring the help of his friend and accountant, Spike Nolan (John Candy). Together, they travel to exotic locations, throw lavish parties, and donate large sums of money to charity, all while trying to avoid running out of money and getting caught by Horn's lawyers, who are watching his every move.

As the deadline approaches, Brewster finds himself in a race against time, trying to spend the remaining millions before the clock runs out and he loses the entire inheritance. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons about the true meaning of wealth and happiness, and discovers that sometimes the greatest riches are the ones we already have.

The film was based on the 1902 novel of the same name by George Barr McCutcheon, which has since been adapted into numerous films and stage productions. The 1985 adaptation received mixed reviews from critics, but was a box office success and has since become a cult classic.
