Breakin L.A. follows the journey of a group of Hamburg cyclists as they explore the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles. The film provides an immersive and raw portrayal of the city, with the cyclists venturing beyond the usual tourist hotspots to discover the real Los Angeles.

The group navigates the busy streets of downtown LA, pedaling through the multicultural neighborhoods of East LA and experiencing the vibrant Latino culture. They also explore the trendy neighborhoods of Silver Lake and Echo Park, which have undergone dramatic changes due to rampant gentrification.

Throughout their journey, the cyclists confront the harsh realities of the city's homeless crisis, and they decide to volunteer with the Midnight Mission, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and support to those experiencing homelessness in LA.

Breakin L.A. also showcases the group's athleticism as they push themselves to the limits with challenging rides up the steep Hollywood Hills and along the scenic coast of Venice Beach. Along the way, they discover unique landmarks such as the LA Gun Club, an indoor shooting range where they test their accuracy and focus.

The film's overarching message is one of resilience and determination, as the group overcomes the obstacles of distance, traffic, and cultural differences to discover the true spirit of Los Angeles. Through their journey, the cyclists assert their belief in the importance of engaging with local communities and promoting environmentally conscious practices in a city that is known for its car culture.
