Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo is a 1984 dance film and the sequel to the original Breakin'. The story follows the dance crew from the first film, including breakdancers Ozone, Turbo, and Kelly, as they come together to save a community center from demolition by a developer who plans to build a shopping mall in its place.
The group initially attempts to raise money for the center through a dance competition, but their efforts are sabotaged by a rival dance crew. Undeterred, they continue to practice and come up with a plan to put on a benefit concert to raise the necessary funds.
As the date of the concert approaches, the group faces numerous obstacles and setbacks, including resistance from the city council and harassment from the developer's henchmen. However, they persevere with their dancing skills and ultimately succeed in raising enough money to save the center.
Throughout the film, the crew showcases their impressive breakdancing moves and engages in various dance battles, showcasing the signature moves of the era such as the moonwalk and popping and locking. The film was noted for its high-energy dance scenes and helped to popularize breakdancing culture in the 1980s.
