Brain Donors

Comedy  United States of America

Brain Donors is a 1992 comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan and starring John Turturro, Bob Nelson and Mel Smith. The film is a modern take on the Marx Brothers style of comedy and follows the misadventures of a trio of guys who band together to run a ballet company in order to fulfill the last will and testament of a wealthy philanthropist.

The lead character, a con artist and lawyer named Roland T. Flakfizer (Turturro), meets an eccentric millionaire named Mrs. Oglethorpe (Nancy Marchand) who wants to see her beloved ballet company continue after her death. Flakfizer claims to have the perfect team for the job and sets out to assemble his crew, which includes a hapless cab driver named Jacques (Smith) and a bumbling handyman named Rocco (Nelson).

The trio sets out to create a memorable ballet performance, but their efforts quickly devolve into a string of hilarious mishaps and misunderstandings. Things become even more complicated when Mrs. Oglethorpe's scheming big-shot lawyer (George De La Pena) tries to take control of the ballet company for his own personal gain.

As they try to navigate their way through the obstacles in their path, Flakfizer, Jacques and Rocco must use their wits and ingenuity to stay one step ahead of their adversaries and bring Mrs. Oglethorpe's vision to life. The result is a delightfully zany comedy that blends slapstick humor, witty dialogue and classic screwball antics.
