Boys of Abu Ghraib is a war drama inspired by true events that took place in 2003 during the Iraq War. The movie follows the story of Jack Farmer, a young American soldier who is deployed to Iraq and assigned to work at the infamous Abu Ghraib prison. There, Jack becomes part of the night shift tasked with guarding and interrogating Iraqi detainees.

The movie takes a dark turn when Jack is reassigned to the Hard Site, a secret facility within Abu Ghraib where brutal acts of torture are carried out on detainees. Jack witnesses the abuse and torture and becomes disillusioned with his role as a soldier. However, he soon develops a secret friendship with an Iraqi detainee named Ghazi.

Despite the language barrier, Jack and Ghazi form a bond that transcends their differences and the horrors around them. Jack begins to question his mission and the actions of his fellow soldiers. Meanwhile, Ghazi gives Jack insights into the Iraqi perspective on the war.

As tensions rise and the brutality of the prison becomes more apparent, Jack and Ghazi's friendship is put to the test. The movie showcases the psychological toll that war has on soldiers and the ethical dilemmas they face in the line of duty.

Boys of Abu Ghraib features a cast of talented actors, including Luke Moran as Jack and Omid Abtahi as Ghazi. The movie was written and directed by Moran, who based the script on his own experiences as a soldier in Iraq. It was released in 2014 and received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its authenticity and emotional impact, while others criticized its heavy-handed approach to storytelling.
