The movie Boys and Girls follows the lives of Ryan (played by Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Jennifer (played by Claire Forlani) as they navigate through college. Ryan is focused on his studies and getting into medical school, while Jennifer is more interested in partying and enjoying her college years. Despite their initial dislike of each other, they are forced to spend time together as part of a class project.
As they work together, they begin to appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses. Ryan helps Jennifer focus on her studies and encourages her to pursue her dreams, while Jennifer helps Ryan loosen up and enjoy life. Along the way, they both experience relationships and heartbreak, but ultimately come to realize that their true feelings for each other go beyond friendship.
