Boss Level is an American science-fiction action film directed by Joe Carnahan, which follows a retired special forces officer named Roy Pulver, played by Frank Grillo. He finds himself trapped in a time loop that repeats the day of his death over and over again. The only way for him to break out of the loop is to uncover the secrets behind a secret government project that he was once involved in.
As Roy tries to figure out how to survive the cycle and change what he can of his fate, he gets drawn deeper and deeper into the government conspiracy that caused his predicament. Along the way, he clashes with countless assassins and hired guns as he navigates his way through a criminal underworld that's always out to get him.
Roy's time loop experience gives him the ability to anticipate and outmaneuver his foes' actions, as he perfects his fighting skills. But over time, he starts to gradually lose his sanity as the endless Loop threatens to take over his mind.
The film had a star-studded cast that included Naomi Watts, Mel Gibson, Will Sasso, and Annabelle Wallis. The movie was released on March 5, 2021, through Hulu. It received generally positive reviews for its action sequences, humor, and strong performances.
