Booty Call is a 1997 American sex comedy film that follows the story of two best friends, Rushon and Bunz, who become desperate to have sex with their girlfriends, Nikki and Lysterine. Rushon is in a committed relationship with Nikki and wants to take their relationship to the next level, but Nikki is hesitant and wants to take things slow.
When Rushon asks Nikki out on a date, she agrees but only on the condition that they make it a double date with her friend, Lysterine. Rushon reluctantly agrees, and they end up going to a fancy restaurant. At the restaurant, Lysterine's loud and crude behavior embarrasses Nikki, who then leaves with Rushon.
Meanwhile, Bunz and Lysterine hit it off and decide to go back to Bunz's apartment. Rushon and Nikki also end up at Bunz's apartment, hoping to spend the night together. However, they soon realize that they don't have any condoms, and thus begins a wild search for condoms in the middle of the night.
Their search takes them on a hilarious journey through the streets of New York City, as they encounter robbers, drug dealers, and even a crazy taxi driver. Eventually, they manage to find condoms and return to the apartment, where they finally have sex.
Booty Call was directed by Jeff Pollack and written by Takashi Bufford and J. Stanford Parker. The film starred Jamie Foxx as Bunz, Tommy Davidson as Rushon, Vivica A. Fox as Lysterine, and Tamala Jones as Nikki. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $20 million at the box office, and is considered a cult classic.
