The movie Book Week follows the journey of Nicholas Cutler, a once-famous author who had lost his touch after succumbing to his self-destructive tendencies. He finds himself working as an English teacher in a high school, where he struggles to connect with his technology-obsessed students.
In an attempt to revive his career, Nicholas writes a trashy zombie novel that attracts the attention of publishers. However, in order to secure the deal, he must prove that he has cleaned up his act and regained his focus.
As he sets out on a promotional tour for his new book, his past demons begin to resurface, leading to a string of reckless behavior and poor decisions. As Nicholas's life spirals out of control, he must confront the consequences of his actions and learn to put others before his own selfish desires.
