Stan Harris is a struggling horror novelist who is notorious for procrastinating. His publisher, Oliver, calls him and warns him that he has to submit his latest work by the end of the day or he'll lose his contract. Stan has been having writer's block for months, and he hasn't even started writing the book. Stan tries to get down to work but fails to summon even an ounce of creativity. A string of strange and terrifying events begins to occur around him, and he starts to see things that no one else can.
While struggling to find a way to turn his life around and save his career, Stan discovers a strange book in his attic. The book tells the story of a demon named Asmodeus, who possesses people and forces them to do his bidding.
