Boogie is a coming-of-age sports drama film directed by Eddie Huang, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Taylor Takahashi in the lead role as Alfred "Boogie" Chin, a talented high school basketball player of Chinese and Taiwanese descent who harbors ambitions of making it to the NBA.

The film is set in Queens, New York, and explores the challenges that Boogie faces as he navigates both his personal and professional life. Boogie's parents are first-generation immigrants who are determined to see their son succeed academically and secure a scholarship to a top college. However, Boogie's focus is on his basketball career, and he hopes to use his skills on the court as a pathway to further success.
