Boogie Man follows the story of Aman, a British-Indian teenager who finds himself caught between two very different worlds. On one hand, he is deeply immersed in his family's traditional Indian culture and values, which includes strict adherence to traditional gender roles and expectations. On the other hand, he is drawn to the vibrant, colorful world of 1970s London, where he finds himself falling for a white actress/model named Jane.
As the two grow closer, Aman finds himself increasingly obsessed with both her and the fashion and music of the '70s. He spends his days exploring the city, attending underground concerts, and trying on the colorful clothes of the era, all while trying to keep his family's expectations at bay.
But as Aman delves deeper into his new obsession, he finds himself struggling to reconcile his conflicting desires. He is torn between the values and traditions of his Indian heritage, and the excitement and freedom of the '70s counterculture. And as life throws more and more challenges his way, including the impending responsibilities of adulthood and the pressure to conform to cultural norms, he begins to wonder if he will ever find a way to be true to himself.
