Flying High with Three Fiancées

Comedy,Drama  United States of America

Boeing, Boeing is a 1960 French farce comedy film directed by Marc Camoletti and starring Tony Curtis, Jerry Lewis, and Thelma Ritter. The film is based on Camoletti's play of the same name. The story revolves around Bernard Lawrence, an American journalist living in Paris, who has come up with a unique plan to keep three fiancées simultaneously: Lufthansa stewardess Gabrielle, Air France stewardess Gloria, and British United stewardess Gretchen. Bernard's plan works like a charm, as long as the flight schedules of the three airlines do not overlap. With the help of his steadfast maid Bertha, Bernard manages to keep the three fiancées from discovering each other's existence.

However, when the airlines change their flight schedules, all three fiancées end up being in Paris at the same time. Bernard's carefully structured life begins to fall apart as he tries to keep the three women from discovering each other. Chaos ensues as Bernard runs from one fiancée to another, with the aid of Bertha and his old friend Robert, a naïve bachelor who gets caught up in the mêlée.

As the situation becomes increasingly complicated, Bernard's fiancées begin to discover each other's existence, and the battle lines are drawn. It all comes to a head when Bernard's Paris apartment is overrun by his three furious fiancées and their respective airline crews. The ending is a hilarious madcap sequence that leaves everyone wondering how Bernard will manage the fallout.

Boeing, Boeing is a classic farce with an impeccable cast and a witty script that provides plenty of laughs and infectious energy. It is a must-watch for fans of classic comedies.
