In Body Cam, police officers Renee Lomito-Smith (played by Mary J. Blige) and Danny Holledge (played by Nat Wolff) witness the brutal murder of a fellow officer during a routine stop. As they investigate the incident, they discover that the killer (played by Anika Noni Rose) may not be human and is instead a vengeful spirit seeking justice for years of police brutality and cover-ups.
As Renee and Danny attempt to piece together what happened and who is responsible, they are confronted with a series of shocking revelations and supernatural events. The more they dig, the closer they come to uncovering the sinister truth behind the murder and the dark forces at play.
As the body cam footage disappears and the investigation is stymied, Renee and Danny must confront their own complicity in the corruption that led to the cover-up and the danger that comes with holding onto secrets. With the help of a retired cop (played by David Zayas), they race against time to save their own lives and put an end to the evil that threatens to destroy them all.
