Blueberry, also known as Renegade and Blueberry: The Secret Experience, is a French western film directed by Jan Kounen and released in 2004. The film is an adaptation of the French comic book series about the fictional character Mike Blueberry.

The film opens with a young Mike Donovan and his girlfriend Maria, who was Native American, witnessing the brutal murder of their tribe by a gang of bandits led by an evil white sorcerer named Wally Blount. Blueberry manages to escape but is haunted by the memories of the event. Cut to years later, Mike has become a U.S Marshal and finds himself entrusted with keeping peace between the Americans and the natives in his jurisdiction. He is also trying to come to terms with his traumatic past.

Mike's life takes a turn when he encounters Blount once again, who is now a powerful and sadistic drug lord. Blount is in possession of a mysterious plant with hallucinogenic properties that he is using to control the natives. Mike realizes that he must stop Blount at any cost, even if it means confronting his fears and unlocking a suppressed memory of that terrible night that he has tried to forget.

With the help of his native friend and shaman, Runi, Mike embarks on a journey to the Sacred Mountains to confront Blount and put an end to his evil actions. Along the way, Mike is initiated into shamanic rituals and experiences visions that help him gain clarity and strength to confront his past.

The film features stunning cinematography, special effects, and a mesmerizing soundtrack by electronic music pioneer, Laurent Garnier. The cast includes Vincent Cassel as Mike Blueberry, Michael Madsen as Wally Blount, and Juliette Lewis as Maria. The film received mixed reviews but has gained a cult following over the years.
