Blue Steel

Blue Steel is a 1990 crime thriller directed by Kathryn Bigelow and stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Megan Turner, a rookie cop who becomes involved in an armed robbery that goes terribly wrong. Turner finds herself face to face with the robber, who steals her gun and disappears into the night.

As Turner tries to track down the perpetrator, she becomes the target of a crazed witness named Eugene Hunt (played by Ron Silver). Hunt is a successful commodities trader who has become obsessed with Turner after witnessing her bravery during the robbery. He begins to stalk her, leaving her threatening messages and even breaking into her apartment.

As the two become more entwined, the line between predator and prey becomes blurred. Turner becomes suspicious of Hunt's motives and begins to investigate him, discovering a disturbing link between him and the robber.

The film explores themes of gender, power, and obsession as Turner tries to survive Hunt's dangerous game and bring him to justice.
