Grace Montague is a successful writer living in New York, but she's struggling to finish her final novel and facing the possibility of losing her book contract. With nowhere else to turn, she returns to her hometown in rural Pennsylvania to find the inspiration she needs to complete her book.
When she arrives, she reconnects with her old friends and family, including her first love Sean, who is now the town's mayor. Sean has been working tirelessly to save the town's historic ballroom, which is facing demolition, and he needs Grace's help to write a proposal to save it.
Grace is hesitant at first, but as she spends more time in her hometown, she begins to remember why she fell in love with writing in the first place. She also starts to realize that she still has feelings for Sean, who is now engaged to someone else.
As the night of the Blue Moon Ball approaches, Grace and Sean work together to save the ballroom and reignite their old flame. But with time running out and obstacles in their way, will they be able to pull off the impossible?
