Blue Lagoon: The Awakening is a romantic drama film released in 2012. The movie follows two high school students, Emma and Dean, who are selected for a study abroad program in Trinidad. During their journey, they manage to get stranded on a deserted island after a boating accident.
Initially, Emma and Dean struggle to survive in the wilderness without any resources or shelter. But soon, they learn to rely on each other and work together to overcome the challenges they face. As they spend more time on the island, they discover hidden caves, waterfalls, and other exotic locations and become completely isolated from the world.
During their stay on the island, they start to fall in love with each other. The movie stars Indiana Evans and Brenton Thwaites as Emma and Dean, respectively. The film was directed by Mikael Salomon and written by Matt Heller. Blue Lagoon: The Awakening received mixed reviews from critics but was praised for its cinematography and the chemistry between the lead actors.
