George Jung, played by Johnny Depp, becomes involved in the drug trade after moving to California to escape his family's financial struggles. He starts off small, selling weed, and eventually becomes one of the biggest cocaine traffickers in the United States.

Throughout the film, Jung struggles with the risks and consequences of his actions. He is constantly torn between his desire for wealth and success, and the toll it takes on his relationships and personal life.

Jung's partnership with the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar, played by Cliff Curtis, brings him immense wealth and respect in the drug world. He develops close relationships with other influential figures in the industry, including Derek Foreal (played by Paul Reubens), Diego Delgado (played by Jordi Molla), and Barbara Buckley (played by Franka Potente).

But with success comes scrutiny, and Jung eventually finds himself facing the consequences of his actions. He spends years in jail, growing increasingly disillusioned with the drug trade and the people involved in it.

Blow is based on the true story of George Jung, whose life and exploits were chronicled in the book "Blow: How a Small Town Boy Made $100 Million with the Medellin Cocaine Cartel and Lost It All" by Bruce Porter. The film was directed by Ted Demme and also stars Penelope Cruz, Ethan Suplee, and Ray Liotta.
