The film Bloody Moon was released in 1981 and directed by Jesús Franco. The plot revolves around Miguel, a young man who suffers from a facial deformity that causes him to be ostracized by his peers. After he attacks and rapes a girl at a masquerade party, he is institutionalized for five years.

Upon his release, Miguel is taken in by his sister Manuela, who along with their wheelchair-bound mother, runs a boarding school for young women. Miguel becomes obsessed with one of the students, Angela, and begins to stalk her. He also harbors incestuous desires for his sister.

As the film progresses, Miguel's mental state deteriorates further, and he begins a campaign of terror against the school's occupants. His actions become increasingly violent, and the body count rises as he seeks to satisfy his warped desires.

While Bloody Moon features its fair share of gore and nudity, it has been criticized for its poor plot and character development. The film has become something of a cult classic, however, largely due to its over-the-top nature and its stylish depiction of violence.
