Terror Unleashed: The Queen's Resurrection

Horror  United Kingdom

Blood from the Mummy's Tomb is a horror movie released in 1971, directed by Seth Holt and Michael Carreras. The movie is based on the 1903 novel "The Jewel of Seven Stars" by Bram Stoker, which was inspired by Stoker's interest in Egyptology.

The movie begins with an archaeological expedition led by Professor Fuchs (played by Andrew Keir) and his assistant Corbeck (played by James Villiers) in Egypt. They discover the tomb of Queen Tera (played by Valerie Leon), who was known for being a sorceress and had a reputation for being evil. Fuchs and Corbeck decide to bring her mummified body back to England, despite warnings from local Egyptian authorities and the realization that Tera's tomb is cursed.

Back in England, Fuchs' daughter Margaret (played by Leon) starts experiencing strange and terrifying incidents after she is possessed by Queen Tera's spirit. She is haunted by nightmares of the ancient queen and is compelled to carry out her orders. Corbeck, who has always been obsessed with Tera and the power she possesses, helps to unleash her evil onto the world.

Margaret's boyfriend, Tod Browning (played by Mark Edwards), tries to help her, but he and Fuchs soon become tangled up in an ancient prophecy about the resurrection of Queen Tera. The prophecy suggests that Tera will continue her reign of terror, with Margaret as her vessel, and unleash death and destruction upon the world.

As the supernatural events unfold, Fuchs and Tod race against time to stop Tera and save Margaret from a dreadful fate. Blood from the Mummy's Tomb is a classic horror movie that blends elements of ancient curses, black magic, and possession to create a truly terrifying tale. The movie is known for its eerie atmosphere, intense scenes, and strong performances, especially from Valerie Leon, who plays the terrifying queen with unforgettable gusto.
