Blood Feast is a horror film directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis and released in 1963. The movie follows the story of Fuad Ramses, a caterer who works at an American diner in France. Despite his efforts to attract customers, the diner is not generating much profit. In addition to his catering duties, Fuad takes up a job as a night watchman at a museum of Egyptian artifacts.
One night, Fuad encounters a statue of Ishtar, the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of love, fertility, and war. He is immediately drawn to her and begins to have vivid dreams and visions of her seducing him. Fuad becomes obsessed with the statue and begins to perform rituals to appease the goddess. He believes that by offering her a feast of slaughtered human body parts, she will grant him wealth and success.
Fuad starts to stalk young women and lure them to his home where he carries out the gruesome act of murder. He uses their body parts to prepare a blood feast in honor of Ishtar. As the killings increase, the local police begin to investigate the gruesome murders.
The movie ends with a climactic confrontation between Fuad and the police as he tries to complete his final blood feast. The police manage to stop him before he can complete the ritual, and Fuad is killed in the struggle.
Blood Feast is considered a cult classic and is known for its extreme violence and gore. The film has since been remade multiple times, most recently in 2016.
