The movie Blank Check is a family comedy film released in 1994. The storyline follows young Preston Waters, an 11-year-old boy who is constantly belittled and bullied by his older siblings. He longs to escape his family's frugal lifestyle and one day, he gets his chance. While riding his bicycle, he is accidentally hit by a car driven by a money-laundering criminal named Carl Quigley.
In order to avoid getting caught, Quigley gives the boy a blank check as compensation and tells him to fill in any amount he wants. Preston seizes the opportunity to have the freedom to buy whatever he wants. He immediately fills in the check for one million dollars and journeys to the bank to cash it in.
With an abundance of cash available, Preston goes on a wild shopping spree, buying everything from a massive treehouse to a castle-themed bedroom. He even buys a chauffeur-driven limousine to take him to school. However, his spending doesn't go unnoticed, and both the FBI and Quigley start to track him down.
As the authorities close in, Preston realizes the value of family and friends. He uses his newfound wealth to help those around him, including his loyal skateboarder friend, Henry, and a girl he has a crush on, Shay. Meanwhile, his family begins to appreciate him more, realizing their mistake in not taking him seriously.
