Blade: The Iron Cross is a 2020 horror movie and a standalone spinoff of Charles Band's Puppet Master series. The movie is set in modern times but starts with a flashback to World War II. In the past, Nazis are experimenting with living puppets, and one of the scientists, Dr. Hauser, is particularly interested in a puppet named Blade.

In the present day, Blade's original owner, Andre Toulon, has been dead for years, and the titular puppet is now owned by a group of psychics who use him for their research. However, as they experiment with Blade, they unwittingly awaken Dr. Hauser's spirit, and he possesses the puppet.

Elisa Ivanov is a psychic war journalist who is investigating Hauser's crimes. When Blade goes on a rampage, Elisa realizes that she can communicate with the puppet and convinces Blade to help her track down Hauser. They set out on a bloody journey of revenge, slashing and killing their way through anyone who gets in their way.

Eventually, they track Hauser down, and Blade goes head to head with the evil scientist in a brutal fight. The movie ends with Blade victorious, but not before Hauser reveals that he had another scientist working with him and that there are more living puppets out there.
